A bit more on Council spending

Some interactive maps created after investigation by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism are available on the Telegraph website - here are two from which you can draw your own conclusions after selecting the council of your choice:

Interactive map of perks and redundancy payments
Interactive map of foreign travel

NB Not all councils are included on both maps but you may notice for instance that Norfolk County Council spent a much publicised £5m on redundancies and pay offs, Broadland District Council spent nearly £5,000 on private health insurance in 2009/2010 whilst Norfolk County Council spent £24,319 during the same period (you will also note that most councils do not offer this perk at all).
