"Really well done! You have stood up to the BDC planning bullies and given them an extremely well deserved bloody nose! The Leader of Broadland's comments on tonight's Radio Norfolk showed no sign that he has changed his frankly pig-headed attitude - he's trying to make out that the Judge's order means no more than a minor tweaking of a few insignificant procedural matters. This is far from the truth: the whole JCS, the "Growth Triangle" in particular, will now have to be revisited. It can't be said that it will have to be consulted on again, as it wasn't really consulted on in the first place. Instead, it will have to be consulted on, properly, for the first time. We will then see what the people affected actually think about their plans to turn virtually every piece of open space between Norwich and Salhouse into a giant housing estate. It will be no surprise if the overwhelming tide of public opinion is that BDC's plans are ridiculously unacceptable.
Thanks for all your tireless hard work on this. It is disgusting
that arriving at a situation where future development in this area
revolves around simple common sense, depends upon the efforts of a
handful of unpaid amateurs, acting against a council full of highly paid
